Meet Sam Harris – Childcare Assistant

Sam joined the Pouncing Panthers team in May half term 2025, bringing with him a huge passion for sport, movement, and helping children lead active, healthy lifestyles. If there’s a game to be played or energy to be burned, Sam is right at the heart of it!

With a background as a HLTA Sports Coach at Christchurch Junior School, along with experience as a tennis coach, sailing instructor, and even a chalet host, Sam has spent years working with children in fun, active, and adventurous settings. He holds a Level 2 Tennis Coaching qualification, is Paediatric First Aid trained, and Safeguarding trained, so children are always in safe hands.

What Sam loves most about Pouncing Panthers is being part of a fun, friendly, and supportive team — especially when the day includes getting outdoors or a walk down to Mudeford Quay beach. He’s known for being approachable, energetic, and great at connecting with children of all ages, always ready to join in the games.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys surfing, padel, and darts, is a devoted AFC Bournemouth fan (despite a Chelsea-supporting childhood!), and has an unexpected family link to David Beckham — his seventh cousin!

At PP, Sam’s favourite activity? All the sports — especially dodgeball!
