Meet Ellie-Mae!

Role: Childcare Assistant
Joined Pouncing Panthers: January 2024

Ellie-Mae is a warm, friendly, and familiar face to many of our children at Pouncing Panthers. Alongside her role at PP, she works as a Teaching Assistant at Mudeford Junior School, so supporting children’s learning and wellbeing is very much her passion — and something she brings naturally into everything she does.

Ellie-Mae joined Pouncing Panthers when we began working with Mudeford Junior School in January 2024, keen to continue working with children beyond the school day. Her favourite part of the job? Simply working with the children, whether that’s helping with homework, playing games, or sharing a laugh at the end of a busy day.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Education Studies and Drama and is a qualified ELSA and Nurture Assistant. Ellie-Mae also runs Sensory Circuits every morning at school and has completed extensive training, including first aid, safeguarding, food safety, trauma-informed practice, Learn to Move, and sensory circuits. Her calm, supportive approach helps children feel confident, understood, and ready to thrive.

One of Ellie-Mae’s favourite things at PP is cooking and baking — she especially loves leading the Tuesday afternoon cooking sessions, where children get hands-on, creative, and (most importantly!) have lots of fun.
